Diavik recertified to ISO and OHSAS standards

Yellowknife, NT – Diavik Diamond Mines Inc., operator of the Diavik Diamond Mine is pleased to announce that its health, safety, environment, and quality systems have been recertified to the highest international standards.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Services (OHSAS) recertifications, achieved after external audits were conducted by Det Norske Veritas Certification Inc. (DNV) at the mine site and at Diavik’s Yellowknife operations, include:

  • ISO 14001:2004 for environmental management system
  • ISO 9001:2008 for product splitting facility quality
  • OHSAS 18001:2007 for occupational health and safety
