Baffinland Iron Mines Inc. is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2020 Baffinland Scholarships.
Congratulations to Jena Merkosak, Dylan Mablick, and Mariah Erkloo of Pond Inlet, Betty Tigullaraq of Clyde River, and Ashley Kalluk of Arctic Bay, Nunavut.
Education and training is an important part of Baffinland’s commitments to the North Baffin communities. We support and encourage the pursuit of post-secondary education and recognize the importance of learning and development as a pillar to the ongoing development of the North Baffin communities and all of Nunavut.
“There have been unprecedented challenges this year, but we continue to support Nunavummiut who are making positive strives in their lives,” said Udlu Hanson, Vice President, Community and Strategic Development. “Supporting the learning and development of students across our Territory is something to celebrate and truly be proud of. It is something that is at the heart of Baffinland’s values.”
Baffinland would like to thank and recognize all applicants to the 2020 Scholarship Program as well as all Nunavummiut who continue to pursue their education inside and outside of Nunavut.
