Northern Mining Congratulates Canada on Regulatory Improvements (June 20, 2013) The NWT & Nunavut Chamber of Mines congratulates Canadaon the approval of Bill C-47 – the Northern Jobs and Growth Act, which received Royal Assent late yesterday. Its two key components, the Nunavut Planning and Project Assessment Act (NUPPAA) and the Northwest Territories Surface Rights Board Act are welcome developments for the North and its minerals industry.
