Baffinland: Presumptive COVID-19 case results confirmed negative

News Release: MARY RIVER, NUNAVUT, July 22, 2020 – Baffinland Iron Mines Corporation (“Baffinland” or the “Company”) has received the final analysis of the two presumptive COVID-19 cases. We are pleased to report that the test results from the government-designated testing facility in Ontario have been confirmed to be negative.

Baffinland will continue to work closely with Dr. Michael Patterson, Nunavut Public Health’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Gary Kobinger and GuardRX, Nunavut Public Health and the territorial government to ensure that quick and thorough COVID-19 management plans and measures are implemented to safeguard all employees and Nunavummiut.

The dedicated support from all employees in following the protective measures combined with the GuardRX mobile testing regime at our mine site have greatly assisted in keeping our operations COVID-19 free. Baffinland will continue to adjust its risk management approach to benefit the health and wellbeing of our workforce.
