Brief History of the Company:
The Dogrib Nation Group of Companies was formed in 1991 as the economic development arm of the Dogrib Treaty 11 Council. Owned by the Dogrib people of Wha Ti, Gameti, Wekweti and Rae-Edzo. Their mandate was to provide the business infrastructure necessary to take advantage of the large number of business opportunities the Dogrib were pursuing in their region

From investments in hydro power generation, to civil works, heavy equipment supply, diamond valuations and travel management services, the Group pursues a number of industrial and human resources development activities for and on behalf of the four Dogrib Nation communities of Mbehchoko ( Rae - Edzo) , Wha Ti (Lac La Martre), Gahmiti (Rae Lakes) and Wekweti (Snare Lake).

The Dogrib Nation Regional Companies are well positioned for growth. An example of the exciting new initiatives involving the companies is the formation of Kete Whii. This joint venture between the Dogrib, Yellowknives Dene and the Lutselke’e Dene has been awarded a long term contract to haul ore at Ekati’s (BHP Billition) Misery diamond deposits. Kete Whii has also formed a joint venture with Procon Mining and Tunnelling to provide an expanded range of services to the mining industry.
