Equipment,Products and Services:
Shehtah Drilling Limited

Shehtah has been at work in the North for almost two decades. Operating rigs built to strict northern specification, Shehtah’s fleet is designed to drill and service wells in the harsh winter weather conditions of northern Canada. Since it began work in 1984, Shehtah has drilled and serviced wells in the Mackenzie Valley and in northern Alberta.

Shehtah rigs can drill to depths ranging from 4000 to 4500 Shehtah also plans to construct a new “double “ rig once the refurbishment program is complete on its existing rig.

Shehtah supports and encourages the further development of businesses in the Northwest Territiories and gives first considerations for employment to qualified residents in northern communities. During the 2000 - 2001 drilling season the majority of the approximately 100 persons employed by Shehtah were Aboriginal.
