Brief History of the Company:
Nunasi Corporation is owned by the Inuit of Nunavut. The Corporation was formed by the Inuit Tapirisat of Canada in 1976 to assist the future beneficiaries of the 1994 Nunavut Land Claims Agreement to begin taking their place in the world of Canadian business. Nunasi is a vehicle by which the Inuit of Nunavut can take advantage of the increased activity that is now taking place, and will in future occur, not only in the new territory of Nunavut, but in other areas where Inuit economic participation will provide opportunities for our shareholders.
